The world poised to engage with Russia in nuclear arm conflict than never thought before .

NATO allies agreed Thursday to provide Ukraine with advanced military equipment

NATO allies agreed Thursday to provide Ukraine with advanced military equipment and to significantly bolster its military presence in eastern Europe, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said during a press conference.

NATO will deploy “substantially more” troops and military equipment including jets, as well as air and missile defense systems, in NATO countries in eastern Europe, Stoltenberg said. Among the equipment NATO will send to Ukraine are drones and anti-tank weapons, as well as detection and medical equipment to protect against the use of biological, chemical, radiological or nuclear threats.

Stoltenberg said the NATO leaders discussed China’s relationship with Russia, and a statement released jointly by NATO leaders Thursday condemned China for its frequent amplification of Russian propaganda: “We are concerned by recent public comments by PRC officials and call on China to cease amplifying the Kremlin’s false narratives, in particular on the war and on NATO, and to promote a peaceful resolution to the conflict.”
