Thai Prime minister wins crucial legal battle amid renewed protest

Thai constitutional court has unanimously ruled in favor of prime minister Prayuth Chan -Ocha in conflict of interest case over living arrangement brought by opposition leaders that could have resulted into his removal from the office if found guilty .

Prayuth has remained into military housing despite his retirement from the army in 2014 ,months after over throwing an elected government ,he said he needed to stay there for security reasons .

On Wednesday ,the court said ,His staying in the military housing is in line with the military rules and the safety of the PM and his family.

The plaintiff did not commit acts that constitute conflict of interest ,He did not seek personal gain direct or indirectly nor breach ethics,''The judge said''.
