At least seven Afghans have died near Kabul international airport amid the chaos of those trying to flee the Taliban takeover of the country, the British military said.


But the UK Defense Ministry did not elaborate on when they were killed and if the latest death toll adds up to the four people who were reportedly crushed to death on Saturday.


The airport is packed with thousands of people trying to flee the Taliban, who entered Kabul a week ago. The shocking images of people clinging to the planes raised the alarm about the slow evacuation process led by counties such as the United States and Great Britain.


There have been stampedes and crushing injuries in the crowd for the past few days.


The US embassy issued a new security advisory, telling citizens not to travel to Kabul airport unless instructed to do so by a US government representative. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden warned that he could not predict the outcome of one of the “most difficult airlifts in history.”
